Hallo Rajendra,

In December 2017/ January 2018 the 2 of us completed a 13 day trek in the Lang Tang Valley, Gosainkunda and Helambu regions of Nepal. We booked this with A One Nepal Trek, and the service provided, from the moment we contacted Mr Rajendra by email with our enquiries, to the drop off at the airport on our way home, was excellent in every way. We were picked up at the airport by Mr Rajendra and taken to our hotel and the next day he came to meet us to go through our paperwork and itinerary, give us our sleeping bags and kits and answer any questions we had. His professionalism right from the start made us feel very comfortable. Over the next 13 days we came to realise how knowledgeable Mr Rajendra was as he has been in the trekking industry for over 20 years in all parts of Nepal and Tibet.

As our trek was in winter and out of the peak season we were very fortunate to have Mr Rajendra as our guide also. Mr Mangal was our porter and we soon found that nothing was too much trouble for either of them.We chose a jeep to travel to the start of the Lang Tang trek at Syabrubesi, this was a good decision as the road is rough and our jeep was probably more comfortable than on the local bus.

The scenery and culture experienced on the three day trek to KyanjinGumba was fascinating. The tea houses where we stayed were comfortable and very welcoming and we really enjoyed the contact with our hosts. The sleeping bags supplied by A One Nepal Trek were -20C and of very good condition, and there were also extra doonas in the tea houses for anyone who might need one. The meals available were of a very high standard and we could choose from a varied menu of western and Nepalese food. We discovered Masala tea and couldn’t get enough of it. On our fourth day, a free day at KyanjinGumpa,Mr Rajendra and Mr Mungal took us up to Tsergo-Ri mountain 4,984metres high, this was a highlight with fantastic views of the snow-capped mountains all around and also views into Tibet/China region. The Lang Tang Valley is very beautiful and the return trip down the valley much easier, we loved seeing the stunning mountains from a different view. Seeing the villager’s way of life with their yaks, cows, horses and donkeys really added to the experience. Spotting monkeys on the first day was quite exciting. pantg

As the Lang Tang Valley is popular there were quite a few trekkers, but when we left the main Lang Tang Valley track and went towards the Gosainkunda area we had the tea house and walking tracks to ourselves. This was a wonderful opportunity to get to know our hosts in the tea houses where we stayed. The temperature was getting lower the higher we climbed to Laurebina and Gosainkunda. The views were incredible. We had half a day to relax and enjoy the icy sacred lakes of Gosainkund. The next day we crossed the high Lauribina Pass of 4,610 metres. This was especially beautiful with the ice and snow around us. The high altitude did make it hard walking, but it was most definitely worth it to see the fantastic views.

We were now into the Helambu region of our trek and looking south over the foothills was stunning. We spent the night at Thadepati and once again we were the only trekkers there. The tea house is set high up on a high ridge with magnificent views. Our hosts looked after us so well and we felt privileged to sit around their kitchen fire while they prepared our meal.Onwards we walked for 2 and a half days through many more villages now as we were in the foothills and roads connecting villages were more common. We saw village life with children attending schools and a lot of rebuilding of homes destroyed or damaged in the 2015 earthquake. Our final day was mostly downhill through the Shivapuri National Park, a lovely walk through dense forest and then little villages to Sundarijal where we were driven the hours drive back to Kathmandu.

This was an amazing trip of a lifetime trekking in Nepal, everything went to plan. We are extremely happy that we chose A One Nepal Trek to be our trekking company. Mr Rajendra speaks very good English and his expertise on advising us with the altitude and all aspects of the trek made for a very enjoyable and safe trekking holiday. Mr Rajendra and Mr Mangals commitment to our wellbeing throughout the trek was outstanding.

Mr Rajendra lives in Kathmandu, He has been a porter and guide for many years and has extensive experience of the Annapurna, Everest and Lang tang regions. He speaks excellent English, knows all about the routes, timings and altitude issues and acts as an informative link to the nature, wildlife and local people you will meet along the way. He can arrange treks, porters, kit hire, permits, accommodation and transport for small or large groups.

Rai is probably the nicest man we have ever met! A friend put us in touch who had enjoyed trekking with him recently. When we arrived at Kathmandu,he met us, sorted our accommodation, transport, permits, kit hire and organised a welcome meal to get to know each other and discuss the route. Over the 11 days trek he was always cheerful, always helpful, advised us about the timings, the altitude, helped with food and accommodation, was informative about the nature and wildlife we saw and interacted so nicely with everyone we met. Basically, the whole trip was a pleasure and we could just relax, enjoy the views and keep walking! Rajendra! Deserves to always be busy with treks, he is a great advert for Nepal and we would highly recommend him to anyone. His fees are also very reasonable as per your concerning. Thanks to him for a great ABC trek – we did it!

Dear Y.B. (in Malay stand for Your Excellency) Pant or Ranjendra (meaning King),

My wife Honglee and All we truly thank you very much for your services and planning during the EBC trekking and for giving us excellent and almost royal treatment and for making us feel like part of your family.

Timing: Within a very short period of time, you are able to cater for us all, elderly with some injuries so that we are able to enjoy fully the really picturesque journey during the whole trekking period. Your daily planning and great sense of timing have enabled our group to be divided into 2 groups depending on speed and capability so that both sections fully enjoy the trekking at own pace and reaching all the desired destinations and stops within time. As a nature photographer, I thank your patience and allowing and encouraging me to document the wonderful fauna and flora along the way.

Internal Flight: The flight from Katmandu to Lukla airport which is considered the highest and most dangerous airport in the world was most memorable and exciting. Your ability to book the first flights in and out of Lukla boosts our confidence that everything was within time and schedule. Even so, 2 days before we flew out, all flights were cancelled due to uncertain weather but luck and blessings were with us throughout.

Information: Your many years of experience shows in the ability to give good, accurate information on many topics raised during the trekking. You are able to engage us in useful conversations and your great sense of humor really entertained us especially during some days of long and high altitude trekking.

Food: We truly enjoyed all the traditional Nepalese meals and the Dal Baht is not only nutritious and healthy but taste great. The daily Garlic soup probably helps us from developing high altitude symptoms. Your choice of rest houses giving great clean food and warm stay really made each day memorable and restful. This is our third trip to Nepal and the first time none of our group members came down with gastro-enteritis.

Porters: We are very grateful to our porters who not just carried our bags with such care but also went out of the way to accompany us on the last leg of EBC trek. We appreciate that after carrying our stuff, they even come back to help us in slippery, wet and dark conditions.

Recommend: We highly recommend A One Nepal Trek Company and all of staff are perfectly superb team for well organized. Please, join with them wherever for your an amazing time in Nepal.

Finally, we wish you, your family and trekking company many continued blessings.

Warm regards and sincerely,

Lum,Blum and family.

Estimado y querido Rajendra,

would very much like to sincerely recommend A Nepal trek company and a best manager named Mr. Y.B.Pant[Rajendra]. This is my third trip to Nepal and took a service with well known guide Mr Rajendra. We were very proud because he has been starting his a nice operation company with almost nearly 20 years experience of his guiding with some thousands of tourists from world. He provides us a good guide and a porter. Guide[Surya] was a real discovery! we took 17 days trek to “Throng-la pass 5416m” or known as “Annapurna circuit”. He is one of the most knowledgeable guide with friendly nature and of-course, me very strong impression by his great service. So, this year, I decided to do again something genuine with this Trekking company, Although, if you are planning a trip to Nepal, please do not miss your chance to observe the best respectful business way of life and get life-time memory from Nepal.
