Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), a representative from A One Nepal Trek Pvt. Ltd. will warmly greet you. Enjoy a short drive to your hotel in Kathmandu to settle in. Later, you will have a pre-trip briefing regarding the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek with your guide. (Service include: Airport pickup + Hotel on BB plan)

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara (7 to 8 hours)

Begin your journey toward Pokhara. The 7 to 8-hour scenic drive treats you to wonderful views of the countryside, historical roadside settlements, lush green forests, and fast-flowing rivers, with lunch served along the way. Spend a relaxing evening exploring the vibrant Lakeside area of Pokhara. (Service include: Breakfast + Bus + Hotel on BB plan)

Day 03: Pokhara to Tikhedhunha Drive & Trek to Ulleri village 2100 m) – 3 Hours

Catch a stunning morning view of Mt. Machhapuchhre before driving to Nayapul where your trek officially begins. The initial walking trails offer refreshing glimpses of rural scenery as you make your way to Tikhedhunga for your overnight stay. (Service include: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Guide + Porter + Local lodge)

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,840m) – 5 Hours

Ascend the famous stone staircases leading up to the charming Magar village of Ulleri. Walk through fragrant pine and oak forests populated by local wildlife before reaching Ghorepani, where you can rest after an invigorating day of climbing. (Service Include: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Guide + Porter + Local lodge)

Day 05: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210m) & Tadapani (2,610m) – 4 Hours

Wake up early for a sunrise hike up to the iconic vantage point of Poon Hill. Marvel at panoramic sunrise views over giant peaks including Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m), Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8,167m), Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna South. After returning to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue trekking through scenic ridges toward Tadapani. Day 06: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940m) – 4 Hours

Descend along main trails winding through vibrant rhododendron forests straight to Ghandruk, the largest Gurung cultural settlement in the region. Enjoy exploring traditional stone-paved alleys and learning about local indigenous traditions. (Service Include: Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner + Guide + Porter + Local lodge)

Day 07: Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara

Take in your final morning views of the surrounding mountain ranges over breakfast in Ghandruk. Trek back down to Nayapul, where your transport will drive you back to Pokhara for a relaxing afternoon by the lake. (Service Include: Breakfast + Lunch + Guide + Porter + Hotel)

Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu by Flight or Drive

Enjoy a peaceful morning in Pokhara before heading back to Kathmandu by tourist bus (7 to 8 hours with lunch on the way) or taking an optional 35-minute scenic flight. Upon arrival, you will be transferred back to your hotel. (Service include: Breakfast + Flight/Bus + Hotel on BB plan)

Day 09: Final Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast in Nepal. A company representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) approximately 3 hours prior to your international flight, concluding your wonderful Himalayan adventure with A One Nepal Trek. (Service include: Breakfast and airport drop)

Cost Includes

• Airport Transfers: All airport pick-up and drop-off services upon arrival and departure.
• Hotel Accommodation in Kathmandu: 2 nights of standard hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on a Bed & Breakfast (BB) plan.
• Hotel Accommodation in Pokhara: 2 nights of standard hotel accommodation in Pokhara on a Bed & Breakfast (BB) plan.
• Mountain Lodging: 5 nights in standard, clean local teahouses/lodges during the trek on a twin-sharing basis.
• Meals During Trek: All 3 meals per day (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) during the trek, plus a complimentary cup of tea with every meal.
• Transportation: Tourist-standard bus transportation between Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Kathmandu. Although, sharing jeep to/from trek start/ end place.
• Trekking Crew: An experienced, English-speaking professional trekking guide, along with assistant guides and porters based on group size (maintaining a ratio of 2 trekkers to 1 porter). This covers their daily wages, insurance, equipment, meals, and lodging.
• Equipment & Gear: Down jackets, sleeping bags, duffel bags, and a trekking map (down jackets and sleeping bags must be returned after trip completion).
• Permits & Paperwork: All necessary paperwork and permits, including National Park entry permits and TIMS cards.
• Souvenirs & Recognition: A dedicated trekking map for each client and an official company trip completion certificate.
• Safety: Comprehensive medical supplies and a first-aid kit.
• Taxes: All applicable government and local taxes.

• Nepal Visa: Nepal entry visa fees (available on arrival at the immigration counter; please bring accurate USD cash and two passport-sized photographs).
• City Meals: Lunches and dinners in cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara.
• Flights: Optional flights between Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Kathmandu.
• Additional Programs: Extra costs incurred for additional programs or deviations from the standard itinerary.
• Travel Insurance: Travel, medical and emergency evacuation/rescue insurance.
• Gratuities: Local donations and tips for guides and porters.
• Personal Expenses: Items such as extra pots of tea, bar bills, electronic device battery recharging, extra porters, bottled or boiled water, hot showers, and other personal incidental expenses.

Safety, Health, & Facilities

• Client Safety First: Your safety and well-being are our highest priorities. All trips are led by experienced, friendly, and government-licensed professional guides who are fully trained in first-aid response.
• Medical Accessibility: Health posts are available every two days along the route, and the nearest major hospital is no more than 5 hours away from any point on the trek.
• Emergency Support: In the event of an emergency, evacuation options include quick drives over rough terrain, local transport by porter or horse, or immediate helicopter rescue arrangements as required.
• Walking Pace: Expect an average of 6 hours of walking per day, carrying only a small daypack (2–5 kg) with your valuables, with a couple of shorter days included for comfort.

Personal Travel Insurance

• Mandatory Insurance: All clients must obtain comprehensive personal travel insurance from their home country prior to arrival.
• Coverage Requirements: Policies must cover medical expenses, accidents, emergency medical evacuation, air ambulance, and helicopter rescue. Please note that A One Nepal Trek does not arrange or sell insurance policies.

Teahouse & Local Lodge Accommodation

• Comfortable Lodging: Accommodations during the trek are provided on a twin-sharing basis in clean, tourist-standard teahouses selected for hygiene and comfort.
• Facilities & Control: Lodges generally feature consistent standard styles. A limited number of rooms with attached bathrooms may be available at an extra personal cost. All lodging and meal rates are managed and regulated by the local community management committee.

Meals & Water

• Diverse Menus: Enjoy a wide variety of meals, including traditional Nepali food, regional ethnic cuisines, and popular international options (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian) prepared from local menus.
• Hygiene & Treats: Lodges feature well-trained cooks dedicated to fresh, hygienic, and tasty preparation. Hot chocolates, various breads, snacks, and a wide selection of drinks are readily available.
• Eco-Friendly Hydration: Bottled water can be purchased at every settlement. To help control plastic pollution, we encourage purchasing locally purified water, using water-purifying tablets, or drinking boiled/filtered running fresh water.

• Lightweight waterproof GORE-TEX jacket/set and a pair of comfortable slippers/sandals

Best Season

• While the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is open and rewarding year-round, the peak seasons from September to December and February to May offer the most ideal weather and visibility.

Booking Policy & Guidelines

• Advance Confirmation: Confirm your trip at least 2 months prior with a 35% advance payment and a clear copy of your passport. (Group Special: One group leader or agent receives a free service charge for groups exceeding 12 paying individuals, excluding taxes, flights, and monument fees).
• Step-by-Step Booking Instructions:

  2. Bring Documentation: Print out all agreed-upon programs and cost breakdowns to bring with you.
  3. Verify Information: Ensure all your personal information matches your travel documents.
  4. Permit Requirements: Submit your international flight ticket confirmation and passport-sized photos to A One Nepal Trek so we can process your TIMS card and ACAP entry permits.
  5. Passport Validity: Send a copy of all group members’ passports (valid for at least 6 months).
