Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

After the landing of your flight, you will be warmly received by the representative of the A One Nepal Trek. She/he will guide you towards the nearest and best hotel arranged by the company. The leisure time will be at Kathmandu visiting around the valley and preparing for the trekking. We will enjoy a delicious dinner in Kathmandu.

Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing.

Visit the world’s heritage sites. Which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley – famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones, and metals.

Pashupatinath Temple: It is one of the most known holy places for Hindu pilgrims in Kathmandu valley. The whole vicinity of Pashupatinath is dense with ages-old pagoda model temples with golden plated roofs and gorgeous woodcarvings on the doors and windows. To the south of the temple, the “Holy” Bagmati river flows down sweeping the burnt dust of dead bodies produced from the cremation on its side. A small green holy wood forest breeze maintains the site cool all the time.

Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the nice places to visit in Kathmandu valley, which has the biggest stupa. When someone enters the gate the holy prayer to sense peace is heard all around. All the Buddhists want to visit Boudhanath to feel the real sense of Buddhism. Boudhanath Stupa – one of the biggest stupas in the valley has been built in the 17th Century.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Around the square, there are some temples stood upright piercing the sky canopy and through the thousands of pigeons they spread the message of peace. Kumari temple is one of the most important parts of the square site where the ‘Living Goddess’ resides. Apart from those temples, a museum will be waiting for its visitors with an opportunity to unravel the treasures unabashedly. To visit this site is to know the historical facts of Nepal.

Soyambhunath Stupa: It is also known as ‘Monkey Temple’. The wide area of Soyambhunath is a hillock surrounded by a small forest with some golden temples of Lord Buddha at the western gate and the main temple at the top of the hill. The most interesting thing with Soyambhunath is the nice view of Kathmandu valley to be seen from the top of the hill. Various kinds and sizes of monkeys are seen guarding the hillock. A lot of monasteries with big prayer wheels are the main attraction for the visitors.[Hotel+Breakfast]

Day 03: Heritage Tour to Patan and Bhaktapur.

Patan Durbar Square:
Complex, situated in the center of Patan city, also known as Lalitpur, houses the residence of the former Patan royal family. Patan Square and its surroundings are good specimens of ancient Newari architecture. There are three main courtyards in the palace: Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Mul Chowk, the oldest one, is at the center of Patan square.

Several multi-sized and multi-styled temples occupy the western part of the complex. Main among these are rocky Krishna Temple, Bhimsen Temple, Shiva temple, and the Golden Temple of Hiranya Varna.

Mul Chowk: This is the most famous and one of the largest courtyards among the three main chowks. Bidya Temple is located at the center of the courtyard and the Taleju temples stand around the courtyard.

Sundari Chowk: Sundari Chowk is to the south of the Mul Chowk with its sunken tank known as Tusha Hiti Mul Chowk & Taleju Temple.

Keshav Narayan Chowk: Keshav Narayan Chowk is towards the northern part. Dominating Degutale temple is next to it. It is the site of the earliest Malla palace in Patan. The Chowk sits on the older foundations of a Buddhist monastery.

Krishna Temple: This temple of red stone, dedicated to Hindu Lord Krishna was erected in the 17th century. The temple is considered to be the first one to be constructed in Shikara architecture. Thanks to this attribute, it holds a commanding position in the durbar square. The elegant shikhara-style temple is ranked as one of the gems of Durbar Square. The temple is compared with the sacred Mount Meru, which is an abode of the god Shiva according to Hindu scriptures.

Mahaboudha: Buddhist temple Mahaboudha, which is made of clay bricks, lies to the east of Durbar Square. Hundreds of Buddha images are engraved in the bricks. The temple is known for its fine terracotta work.

Kumbheshwor: The five-storied pagoda-style Lord Siva temple was constructed by King Jayasthiti Malla. Inside the temple is a natural spring whose source, is said to be the famous glacial lake of Gosainkunda. The golden work was added later in 1422 A.D. One the festival of Janai Purnima, ritual bathing takes place and a fair is also held.

Jagat Narayan Temple: Jagatnarayan temple is a tall shikhara-style temple devoted to Lord Vishnu. Red bricks are used for the construction of the temple. The temple also holds a fine metal statue of Garuda, Ganesh, and Hanuman, all related to Hindu religion and mythology.

Rudra Varna Mahavihar: This Buddhist monastery holds an amazing collection of images and idols of metal, stone, and wood. Legend holds that the Kings of ancient times were crowned in this monastery. Many of the treasures offered by the people can be seen here even today.

The Ashokan Stupas: Indian Emperor Ashoka visited Nepal in 250 B.C and constructed four ancient stupas at the four corners of Patan. The four stupas are located in Pulchowk, Lagankhel, Ebahi, and in Teta (way to Sano Gaon) respectively.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square:
Is an assortment of pagoda and shikhara-style temples grouped around a fifty-five window palace of brick and wood. Bhaktapur was known as ”Bhadgoun”. The square is part of a charming valley as it highlights the idols of ancient kings perched on top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in very place – struts, lintels, tympanums, gateways, and windows – all seem to form a well-orchestrated symphony.

The Lion Gate: The massive gate that dates back to 1696 AD is guarded by two huge statues of lions on either side. The dreadful stone image of Lord Shiva and the fearful image of Ugrachandi attract tourists from far off.

The Golden Gate(SunDhoka): The Golden gate is said to be the most beautiful and richly molded specimen of its kind in the entire world. The door is embellished with monsters and mythical creatures of marvelous intricacy. The Golden Gate was erected by King Ranjit Malla and is the entrance to the main courtyard of the Palace of fifty-five windows.

The Palace of Fifty Five Windows: Keshav Narayan Chowk is the Northern-most part of the Patan Darbar palace complex, with the dominating Degutale temple next to it. This magnificent palace was built during the reign of King Yaksha Malla in AD 1427 and was subsequently remodeled by King Bhupatindra Malla in the seventeenth century. Among the brick walls with their gracious setting and sculptural design, is a balcony with fifty-five Windows, considered a unique masterpiece of woodcarving.

The Art Gallery: The Art Gallery contains ancient paintings belonging to the Hindu and Buddhist traditions of various periods and descriptions. The gallery is particularly famous among researchers on Hinduism and Buddhism.

The Statue of King Bhupatindra Malla: This statue depicts King Bhupendra Malla in the act of worship and is located on a column facing the palace. This is considered the most magnificent statue among the many statues in the squares.

Nyatapola: This is the most famous pagoda of Nepal, which was built in 1702 A.D by Bhupatendra Mala. This temple was dedicated to Siddhilaxmi, the tantric mother goddess of supreme power. Nyatapola in Newari means a five-tiered symbolizing five basic elements – water, earth, fire, wind, and sky.

Pashupati Temple: According to folklore, a Bhaktapur native who was a great devotee of Lord Pashupati, had a dream in which Lord Shiva told him to build a temple for him so that he could move into it. He obeyed this command and thus the temple came into existence.

Vatsala Temple: This 17th century stone temple, dedicated to a mother goddess, is full of intricate works on stone.

Pottery Place: Bhaktapur is an industrial part of Kathmandu valley. Local people “Kumale” makes many kinds of the traditional pot of clay. Also, many famous products of Bhaktapur are yogurt and black cap and as well as metalwork.

Day 04: Kathmandu-Chitwan.

From Kathmandu, we will drive towards the beautiful and natural place of Nepal i.e. Chitwan. We will drive for several hours to reach Chitwan. The leisure time can be spent visiting the local market of the region. We will visit the national park the next day. We will spend the whole day exploring the Chitwan national park encountering wild animals and birds. The day will be remarkable at Chitwan.

On Your arrival at Sauraha Bus park, Tadi. You will then be transferred to the Resort where you will be offered refreshment & be given a briefing & its facilities. After being given your programs for the day, your room will then be allocated to you.

13:00 Lunch.

15:00 Village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. Visit the National Park Visitor’s center where you can learn more about the history of the National Park and about wildlife & Sunset view from the bank of Rapti River.

19:00 Tharu cultural dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers.

20:00 Dinner.

Day 05: Chitwan National park activities.

06:00 Wake-up call.

06:30 Breakfast.

07:00 Canoe ride along the Rapti River. An excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and for seeing the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish-eating Gharial. + Jungle Walk + on the way back one can enjoy elephant bathing.

13:00 Lunch

15:00 Elephant Safari. An excellent opportunity to see four different kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear, and the Royal Bengal Tiger (If you are lucky). You will also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.

19:00 Tharu cultural dance presentation or Slides show presentation.

20:00 Dinner

Day 06: Chitawan full day Activities.

06:00 Wake-up call.

06:30 Breakfast.

07:00 Visit the Government Elephant Breeding Centre.

Day 07: Chitawan To Lumbini.

From Chitwan, we will drive to Lumbini, which will take about 6 hours. The broad view of the region will be demanding and beautiful. The night will be at Lumbini enjoying the dinner.

Day 08: Full days Activities at Lumbini.

Day 09: Lumbini to Pokhara.

Drive from Lumbini to Pokhara.7 hours by bus. and 6 hours by private drive. The night at Pokhara hotel.

Day 10: Pokhara Tour.

Full-day Pokhara tour. Wake up at 4:30 to Drive Sarangkot for a sunrise view over the gigantic Himalaya. Mt.Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Machhapuchhre (6996m), Lamjung Himal, Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Mt.Annapurna south(7219m), etc are some of the best peaks that can be seen. from hill. Spending some of the precious time then we will return back to Hotel for breakfast. Although we will have our lunch & continue toward visiting the tour, David’s fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Tibetan Refugee camp, International Museum and Evening walk beside Fewa lake also visit Barahi Island.

Day 11: Pokhara to Kathmandu.

Early morning we will be enjoyed with the crystal clear view of the rising sun. After having breakfast we will drive to Kathmandu. Our journey goes for around 7 to 8 hours. We will have lunch on our way. Countryside, roadside old houses and greenery forest in some places with the fast-flowing river will be so much impressive. After reaching Kathmandu you will be shifted toward your hotel.

Day 12: Farewell

After enjoying a night at Kathmandu, we will wake up early in the morning and will do some last-minute shopping at the local market of Nepal. Then we will process for the departure. We will attend the small farewell program organized by the A One Nepal Trek and will get on the flight to fly over to our own destination.
