Trekking to climb Island Peak – 21 days…to peak out & freak out

This affordable fantastic mountain climb is actually done – in a single day. It’s perfect for first-timers…and ideal for veteran climbers to sharpen their skills for the biggies…

This is a well-organized route with the best acclimatization designed to detail with tremendous Himalayan scenery that literally energies imaginations…Trek to Island Peak via the Everest Base Camp route on a high…

Island peak is surely not the highest trekking peak in Nepal, but the daunting Peak [also known as Imja Tse in the local dialect] at 6,189m/20,305ft provides a lot of technical adjustments. This expedition makes up a variety of drills that include rock scrambling, roped glacier travel, a steep snow/ice wall on fixed ropes, and an exposed summit ridge for a thrilling climax that gets the adrenaline pumping to a high physical level. The trip takes-off with a flight from Kathmandu to Hillary’s airstrip at Lukla, before a trek to Dingboche via the Sherpa capital – the hustling & bustling Namche Bazaar. You spend two delightful nights in each of these villages, to assist with your acclimatization and lessen the chances of altitude problems, especially for a trip like this.

This is one of the most popular peak climbing trips in the Khumbu [Everest region] of Nepal. The name ‘island peak’ took shape in 1952 due to its unique location in the middle of the Chhukung valley which looks like an island in a sea of ice. Later it was renamed Imja Tse but the peak is still known by its original name. There is something like 33 peaks in this area; however, Island peak is the best-known peak offering its climbers some enlivening box office views of famous towering peaks with memories that last a lifetime. Climbing over this mountain requires a lot of gritty navigation on foot; trekkers need good physical health with ample hiking experience in high elevations above 2000m. We will need to acclimatize ourselves at different places to get accustomed to the higher elevations of surrounding areas. Doing Island Peak offers all the spicy ingredients of an adventure that can be risky but can be done by anyone of any age level…

From Lukla, our hiking route will follow familiar trails of Everest base camp through Namche Bazaar, Khumjung, Phortse, Dingboche, and Lobuche as we get to the base camp of Mt. Everest. Our reverting trails will be from Pangboche and Tengboche which will ultimately bring us to Lukla and back to Kathmandu with a fabulous flight and finally to our hotel & a warm soft bed. A One Nepal Treks will escort you to this famous peak by using our extensive experiences to make this trip as comfortable as possible, despite the physical obstacles this journey is known for…

would very much like to sincerely recommend A Nepal trek company and a best manager named Mr. Y.B.Pant[Rajendra]. This is my third trip to Nepal and took a service with well known guide Mr Rajendra. We were very proud because he has been starting his a nice operation company with almost nearly 20 years experience of his guiding with some thousands of tourists from world. He provides us a good guide and a porter. Guide[Surya] was a real discovery! we took 17 days trek to “Throng-la pass 5416m” or known as “Annapurna circuit”. He is one of the most knowledgeable guide with friendly nature and of-course, me very strong impression by his great service. Estimado y querido Rajendra,
