Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu – Welcome to the City of Temples

Upon landing at Tribhuvan International Airport, your personal A One Nepal Trek representative will greet you warmly and transfer you to your luxury hotel. After checking in and relaxing over welcome drinks, take a evening stroll through Kathmandu’s vibrant local markets. Day 02: Cultural Wonders of Kathmandu & Trek Prep

Spend the day discovering Kathmandu’s spiritual heritage with a private guide and vehicle:

• Pashupatinath Temple: Sacred Hindu temple complex along the holy Bagmati River.
• Boudhanath Stupa: One of the world’s largest spherical stupas, filled with prayer wheels and chanting monks.
• Kathmandu Durbar Square: Historic royal plaza home to intricate woodcarvings and the Living Goddess, Kumari.

Day 03: Scenic Flight to Lukla & Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the domestic airport for an exhilarating 30-minute flight over the Himalayas to Lukla. Meet your trekking support team and begin your journey down the Dudh Koshi River valley to Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

Cross iconic suspension bridges draped in prayer flags as you head toward Monjo, the entryway to Sagarmatha National Park. After a steady uphill climb through pine forests, you’ll reach Namche Bazaar—the bustling Sherpa capital—and catch your first glimpse of Mt. Everest (weather permitting).

Day 05: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

Spend a vital rest day acclimatizing in Namche. Hike up to the famous Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for dramatic panoramas of Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and Everest. Alternatively, visit the local Sherpa Culture Museum or the historic Khunde Hospital established by Sir Edmund Hillary.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,867m)

Trek along high ridge lines with breathtaking views of the Khumbu giants. Descend to the riverbank at Phunki Tenga for lunch before tackling the winding uphill climb through rhododendron forests to Tengboche. Visit the famous Tengboche Monastery, the largest spiritual center in the Khumbu region.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)

Follow the trail downhill through lichen-draped forests before crossing the Imja Khola. Pass through Pangboche village and head into the high-altitude Imja Valley, surrounded by stone-walled fields protecting crops from alpine winds. Arrive in Dingboche by afternoon.

Day 08: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

Rest and adjust to higher elevations. Take an acclimatization hike up the ridge north of Dingboche for incredible views of Mt. Makalu (8,485m), Lhotse, and the striking spire of Mt. Ama Dablam (6,856m). Spend the afternoon resting in your lodge.

Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,940m)

Climb up the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Stop at Chupki Lhara (Thugla Pass) to pay respects at the stone memorials built in honor of fallen climbers. Continue along the glacial valley toward Lobuche as the landscape turns increasingly dramatic and rugged.

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep & Everest Base Camp (5,364m)

An early, thrilling start! Trek across glacial moraines and icy terrain to Gorak Shep, check in to your lodge, and continue straight to Everest Base Camp. Stand right at the foot of the mighty Khumbu Icefall, take unforgettable photos, and soak in the magnitude of this alpine paradise before returning to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 11: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Down to Pheriche (4,280m)

Begin before dawn (around 4:30 AM) to climb Kala Patthar for an unforgettable sunrise over Mt. Everest, Nuptse, and Changtse. After capturing world-class photos, descend back to Gorak Shep for breakfast, then trek down to the warmer, oxygen-rich valley of Pheriche.

Day 12: Pheriche to Kyangjuma & Namche Bazaar

Descend through rhododendron, birch, and juniper forests. Stop for a relaxing lunch at Kyangjuma while taking in lasting views of Ama Dablam. Keep an eye out for Himalayan monals and mountain goats along the cliffside trails as you return to Namche Bazaar for a hot shower and well-earned rest.

Day 13: Namche Bazaar to Phakding

Enjoy a leisure pace as you walk back down the steep trails toward Monjo and along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River to Phakding.

Day 14: Phakding to Lukla – Final Night on the Trail

Walk the final stretch of trail back up to Lukla. In the evening, gather with your guide and porters to celebrate a successful journey with local traditional food, mountain beer (Chhang), and traditional dancing.

Day 15: Flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu

Day 16: Farewell Nepal – Departure

Personal Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients participating in our high-altitude Himalayan treks.
