Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, We will personally be at the airport to pick you up on time. You will be transferred to your hotel as per the prior booking agreed between us. After refreshing up with some welcome drinks, you can go to your room, relax for some time and then stroll the night and get enchanted by Kathmandu, visit the local market and buy some necessary things which you may need. On returning back to your hotel, you will be treated to a “Traditional Nepali dinner” and later you will be oriented on your upcoming journey. Enjoy your first night in the ancient city of temples & cows, probably the most in the world.

Day 02:City tour, your Permits, and preparation for your trip.

Visit the world’s heritage sites. Which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley – famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones, and metals.

Pashupatinath Temple: It is one of the most known holy places for Hindu pilgrims in Kathmandu valley. The whole vicinity of Pashupatinath is dense with ages-old pagoda model temples with golden plated roofs and gorgeous woodcarvings on the doors and windows. To the south of the temple, the holy Bagmati river flows down sweeping the burnt dust of dead bodies produced from the cremation on its side. A small green holy wood forest breeze maintains the site cool all the time.

Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the nice places to visit in Kathmandu valley, which has the biggest stupa. When someone enters the gate the holy prayer to sense peace is heard all around. All the Buddhists want to visit Boudhanath to feel the real sense of Buddhism. Boudhanath Stupa – one of the biggest stupas in the valley, has been built in the 17th Century.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Around the square, there are some temples stood upright piercing the sky canopy and through the thousands of pigeons they spread the message of peace. Kumari temple is one of the most important parts of the square site where the ‘Living Goddess’ resides. Apart from those temples, a museum will be waiting for its visitors with an opportunity to unravel the treasures unabashedly. To visit this site is to know the historical facts of Nepal.

Soyambhunath Stupa: It is also known as ‘Monkey Temple’. The wide area of Soyambhunath is a hillock surrounded by a small forest with some golden temples of Lord Buddha at the western gate and the main temple at the top of the hill. The most interesting thing with Soyambhunath is the nice view of Kathmandu valley to be seen from the top of the hill. Various kinds and sizes of monkeys are seen guarding the hillock. Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding.

After enjoying your b/fast at the hotel, we next head down to the domestic airport for your flight to Lukla. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes some 30 minutes and ends in an exciting landing on a unique mountain airstrip that runs uphill. Lukla, situated at an altitude of 2,850 m, is the gateway as well as the trailhead for all treks in the Everest region. After meeting the support crew, we head up the Dudh Koshi valley on a well-trodden trail to our first campsite near a river at Phakding.

Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazaar.

From Phakding, we cross and re-cross the river on high suspension bridges till we reach Monjo. Beyond Monjo lies the Sagarmatha (Everest) National Park, which was established by the Government of Nepal in 1976 in order to protect and preserve the fragile mountain ecosystem. The park, spread over an area of 1,148 sq km, includes the upper catchments of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers and is largely composed of rugged terrain, gorges, and giant hulks of rock and snow, including Mt. Everest (8,848 m), the tallest of them all. A steep hike from Monjo takes us to Namche. If the weather is clear, we get our first glimpse of Mt Everest. Namche is the main trading center in the Khumbu region and is a meeting place not only for the Nepali traders from the lowlands and the Tibetan traders who cross the glaciated Nangpa La in the north but also for trekkers and expedition members either going up to rendezvous with Mt. Everest and its minions or those on their return lap. We camp near Namche Bazaar.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar acclimatization day.

Namche has tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea shops, and souvenir shops. It is an ideal place to spend a day, acclimatizing to the new altitude before heading off towards Thyangboche. To acclimatize, you visit Khunde Hospital set up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or take a one-hour walk up to the Everest View Hotel (3,780m) from sea label, or over 300m above Namche for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest. There are also good views from the National Park Center and Museum just above the town of Namche.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche.[3867m]

From Namche, the trail contours onto the side of the valley, high above the Dudh Koshi. We get our first really good views of the great peaks of the Khumbu including Mt Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Passing by several villages and numerous tea shops, we descend steeply to a bridge over the river at Phunki Tenga. The village is an ideal stopover for lunch. Here we can rest before making the steep climb to Tengboche. Although the hike up the zigzag path is tiring, it presents us with many beautiful sights of rhododendron bushes with beautiful birds, and superb mountain scenery. Tengboche is famous for its legendary monastery, the largest in the Khumbu. We camp near the monastery. A spectacular panorama of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam rising on the horizon can be seen from the campsite.

Day 07: Tengboche to Dingboche 4410m.

Dingboche is a beautiful patchwork of well-cultivated lush green fields enclosed by stone walls protecting the crops of barley, buckwheat, and potatoes from the cold winds and grazing animals. Stay overnight at the best available lodge.

Day 08: Dingboche acclimatization day.

We will spend the day at Dingboche resting and exploring the surroundings of the area. We will get fantastic views of Mt. Amadablam (6856m) from here. If you want to view the best picture of the White Mountains then you can walk to the highland towards the north of the hill from where we can see the admirable views of Mt.Makalu 8485m, along with Mt.Lhotse. We will spend the whole day enjoying, relaxing, and acclimatizing ourselves so that we get used to the thin air as we go higher. Day 09: Dingboche to Lobuche.

Beyond Dingboche, we trek up the steep difficult moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. We find our path through the boulder-strewn slope as we ascend Chupki Lhara, an uncanny ridge top with dramatic mountains views. An early start is necessary today, as we have to cross Thug La and make the 3hrs long descent to Lobuche. As we hike up the valley, we cross a ridge and an old lateral moraine, before beginning the rocky scramble to the pass. From the pass, there are excellent views, across to the famous Rolwaling Valley in the west and Ama Dablam to the south-east. The steps from the pass involve the crossing of a small glacier [often snow-covered] which is fairly straightforward. There are more excellent views of Ama Dablam and the forbidding north face of Cholatse as we descend to the pastures below. The way to Lobuche contours the grassy slopes above a lake, the Tshola Tsho, to join up with the main Everest trail from Pheriche and Tengboche. The trail flattens out and follows the valley on the west side of the Khumbu Glacier as we plod on to Lobuche for the night.  (Service include: Guide+Porter, +Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Hotel Mother Earth)

Day 10: Lobuche to Gorak Shep to Everest base camp 5360m.

For the trek to Everest Base Camp, a very early start is required. It takes 8-9 hours on a trail across the Khumbu Glacier which weaves its way along translucent ice pinnacles and past seemingly bottomless crevasses. At Base Camp, there will hopefully be an expedition residence’ and there are great views up into the Khumbu Icefall where there is often some climbing activity. On the return leg, we can take a higher route to get a spectacular view of the Khumbu icefall and the route to the south Col. We then return to Gorakshep for a night. We will spend approximately 9 and half hours trekking up to Everest Base Camp and back to Gorakshep. The trek is on a glacier and snow-capped rocks. We can also see many small frozen lakes around the Everest Base Camp area. We then return to Gorakshep for our stay overnight at a lodge.(Service include: Guide+Porter, +Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Best available lodge)

Day 11: Gorakshep to Kalapatthar 5545m, and to Pheriche.

Today is the key day of our journey. We set out early at 4.30 am to Kalapathar from Gorakshep from where we can get fabulous views of sunlight piercing the cloud to reflect on the white snow. After a continuous ascent for 2 hours, we can peak at Kalapathar. We will have to return soon from Kalapathar as the cold gusty wind may affect us. We will return to our trail to Pheriche at 4280m. Kalapather is simply awesome with sunrise/sunset over the huge shimmering Mountains. When we get to our lodge at Pheriche, we enjoy some hot tea & soup. Day 12: Pheriche to Kyangjuma [3500m] to Namche.
we will trek down through hillocks blanketed by rhododendron and juniper trees. If it’s spring, pink and red rhododendron flowers set our surroundings ablaze. Depending on our hunger and condition, we either have our lunch in Pangboche or wait until we reach Phunki Tenga for a lunch break. After crossing the prayer flag festooned bridge over the Dudh Koshi River trail, we then follow the Dudh Koshi gorge descending rapidly through the pine forests. The path eventually reaches Sansa which is the major trail junction in the region. We stop at Kyangjuma (3570 m/11,710 ft) for a relaxed lunch & rest our weary bones. We unknowingly appreciate the gorgeous Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Nuptse with every bite. Following lunch, the trail to Namche Bazaar clings to the steep wooded slope beyond Kyangjuma, winding through several bends. We keep a lookout for wildlife such as mountain goats, snow leopards, colorful pheasants, etc, while we pass through the forest by the trail. After passing a Chorten, we reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar. We want to take a long last look (and picture!) back to Lhotse, the tip of Everest and Tengboche from here. On reaching our lodge, we take a nice hot shower and have a very relaxed sleep in our room in Namche Bazaar. Overnight in Namche Bazaar at a similar hotel of your liking.

Day 13: Namche to Phakding.

We continue our way downhill following some steep forest paths. We have enough time to take a rest and to shop for some of the lovely souvenirs hereabouts. We will continue our way to Monjo as it will be easier tomorrow to reach Lukla. The village of Monjo is situated at a height of 2840m and 1-2 hrs more trekking brings us to Phakding. The trekking route is about 4 to5 hours long. (Service include: Guide+Porter, +Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Everest summit lodge or Yeti Mountain Home)

Day 14: Phakding to Lukla – This is our last night on these lovely mountains that have been home to us all of these days…

The trekking route from Phakding to Lukla is the last trekking route of Everest base camp, which will lead us towards the airport at Lukla. The route today goes down alongside wonderful rhododendrons and pine forest. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River, we will ascend for about 45 minutes which will take us to Lukla. We will spend the night at Lukla and celebrate our successful trip with some good food & some local mountain beer called ‘Chhang’’. We also do a jig to some dance steps & freak out tonight. Altogether, it’s been a merry trip that should end on a merry note.

Day 15: Lukla to Kathmandu.

After an early breakfast, hoping for good weather, we board our 35 minutes flight for Kathmandu. We bid farewell to these wonderful mountains that sheltered us all of these days as our journey in Nepal concludes today on a merry note! There is not much except sending a few emails home telling the folks about the dream holidays you enjoyed. If you have more time you can do some shopping or sightseeing. Overnight at your hotel. Day 16: Farewell program. Adios Amigos!

Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from A One Nepal Trek will take you to the airport. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to organize your plans for the next adventure in the wonderful Himalayan country of Nepal. Thank you for visiting Nepal…we sure hope to meet you again someday!!!

SAFETY – HEALTH- FACILITY:

Our first goal is “first safety” for all of our clients and staff. We have a smartly experienced friendly and knowledgeable workers team. All they are well trained and must of they are license holder Guides. We arrange first aid. Also, the area has a health post every 2 days, and the main hospital is not farther than the maximum of 5 hrs, from any part. We can use a quick drive on the rough road, carried by the people, take a horse ride, and arrange the Helicopter at our needed as per the emergency encase. The physical walk is 6 hours on average per day with a mini bag with your valued things average 2-5 kg. but 2 days is shorter.

YOUR PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE:

We highly advised you to make your travel insurance during the Nepal trip from your own country. It is a condition upon joining any of our trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). we don’t arrange or sell insurance.

TEAHOUSE LOCAL LODGE DURING THE TREK:

All accommodations for the Everest region are super fine. There has a world-class Standard hotel available in almost any place. We will have to book and provide the best quality of hotels available there. The room will be twin-sharing with a Heater and Attached bathroom. Hotels based on the standard of hygiene, clean of tourist standard available.

MEALS AND WATER:

During our Trek, we can enjoy typical Nepali food, different ethnic cuisines, as well as all types of international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian.), which are from the menu as per local supplement. Lodge has a well-trained cook basically attention to clean, hygienic, fresh, and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates, a variety of bread, a variety of drinks, and snacks. You could have been able to buy Bottled water from every settlement. Even we would like to support you to pay for local purifying water cheaper with that’s help to controlled plastic pollution. Also, boiled water or running fresh water with your peals or filtering is much recommended.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:

Raincoat, bag cover, round sun hat. Half paint for rain, waterproof walking boot, Suntan lotion, sunglass, light waterproof gore tax set, a pair of sleepers, some t-shirt, If you have your private light sleeping bag/If Not we will provide, walking stick, your regular drug and necessary you things.

ENVIRONMENTAL SENSITIVE:

The Langtang region is stunningly beautiful but equally fragile. Future generations have just as much of a right to appreciate it as we do. Hence, the tourism industry has an obligation to protect and preserve it. We are considering a ‘zero impact’ policy on the natural environment and the traditional communities that live in the traveled places. We enforce a number of dos and don’ts. We also work alongside “KEEP” in order to maintain our environmental concerns.
