Details Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu.

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu, We will personally be at the airport to pick you up on time. You will be transferred to your hotel as per the prior booking agreed between us. After refreshing up with some welcome drinks, you can go to your room, relax for some time and then stroll the night and get enchanted by Kathmandu, visit the local market and buy some necessary things which you may need. On returning back to your hotel, you will be treated to a “Traditional Nepali dinner” and later you will be oriented on your upcoming journey. Enjoy your first night in the ancient city of temples & cows, probably the most in the world. Day 02: City tour, your Permits, and preparation for your trip.

Visit the world’s heritage sites. Which is the oldest of the three major cities in Kathmandu Valley – famous for its Buddhist monuments and Hindu temples, and you can catch the traditional artisans working with wood, stones, and metals.

Pashupatinath Temple: It is one of the most known holy places for Hindu pilgrims in Kathmandu valley. The whole vicinity of Pashupatinath is dense with ages-old pagoda model temples with golden plated roofs and gorgeous woodcarvings on the doors and windows. To the south of the temple, the holy Bagmati river flows down sweeping the burnt dust of dead bodies produced from the cremation on its side. A small green holy wood forest breeze maintains the site cool all the time.

 Boudhanath Stupa: It is one of the nice places to visit in Kathmandu valley, which has the biggest stupa. When someone enters the gate the holy prayer to sense peace is heard all around. All the Buddhists want to visit Boudhanath to feel the real sense of Buddhism. Boudhanath Stupa – one of the biggest stupas in the valley, has been built in the 17th Century.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: Around the square, there are some temples stood upright piercing the sky canopy and through the thousands of pigeons they spread the message of peace. Kumari temple is one of the most important parts of the square site where the ‘Living Goddess’ resides. Apart from those temples, a museum will be waiting for its visitors with an opportunity to unravel the treasures unabashedly. To visit this site is to know the historical facts of Nepal.

Soyambhunath Stupa: It is also known as ‘Monkey Temple’. The wide area of Soyambhunath is a hillock surrounded by a small forest with some golden temples of Lord Buddha at the western gate and the main temple at the top of the hill. The most interesting thing with Soyambhunath is the nice view of Kathmandu valley to be seen from the top of the hill. Various kinds and sizes of monkeys are seen guarding the hillock. A lot of monasteries with big prayer wheels are the main attraction for the visitors.[Hotel+Breakfast+Private drive+Tour with Guide]

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by Bus/flight.

After breakfast, we hop a thirty-minute flight to Pokhara from Kathmandu airport. During the flight, the views from your window seat give you mesmerizing views of glorious Manaslu 8,163m and the snow-capped Annapurna mountain range. We reach our hotel, refresh & get familiar with our surroundings. We can go for a stroll down the Fewa Lake & also do some boating. We could also visit David’s fall and visit the peace stupa. The city of lakes – Pokhara is a wonderful city to explore around. Overnight at your hotel. (Breakfast+Bus drive+Hotel with BB plan)

Day 04: Pokhara to Jomsom flight and trek to Kagbeni.2810m

After touchdown at Jomsom, we hit the trail to the Kaligandaki plains. The road diverts to the right bank of the river plain, and our hike is pretty easy going with few ups and downs most of the way to a place called Ekali Bhatti (lonely inn) where there are three or four tea-houses at present. Earlier, it used to be the only teahouse in the area when it got its namesake, ‘Ekali –Bhatti’. From here, the path splits into two ways, the one higher up leads to Muktinath and the other route takes us to upper Mustang and Tibet via Kagbeni.

Our trail heads past Eklai-Bhatti towards North West and the walking gets much easier on a gradual winding route as the road widens and we walk further on the river bed towards the windswept village of Kagbeni for the overnight.

The famous film ‘Caravan’ was shot in this area some years ago. This is where we crash out for the night. (Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+ Local lodge+flight+Guide+Porter)

Day 05: Kagbeni to Chaile village.3100m.

Our day pans out with a special permit check up and we proceed from here on to the riverbank of Kaligandaki upstream. During the walk, we come to scenic quaint places to stop by the sandy and windy trails. This trail fluctuates up and downhill. We first reach Tangbe village with narrow alleys amongst whitewashed houses, fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat, and apple orchards. From there we trek forward to Chhusang and after crossing the river head up to the huge red chunk of the conglomerate that has fallen from the cliff above, forming a tunnel through which the Kaligandaki follows. We head on to small ridges before we reach the village of Chele and our teahouse lodge for the night.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Local lodge)

 Day 06:Chaile to Gheling village.3520m.

From Chele village, the trail will climb gradually towards the Chele pass at 3630m. Continuing our trail, we will enter into the beautiful and evergreen descent to Samar village at 3620m. we will enjoy natural and beautiful views of long mountains ranges. The trail will climb above the Bhena-la, Yamdo-la, and descends toward the Shyangbochen at 3800m. Then we will hike for 40min to Ghiling village to bunk out for the night.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Local lodge)

Day 07: Ghiling to Charang village.3560m.

We will relish the early morning views of the surrounding of Gelling and will march heading west climbing to the gently sloped area and through green fields. Then the way follows via the Tama Gaon, Nye-la pass, and steeply to Ghami village. After lunch at Ghami, we will climb up to Choya-la pass and then a gentle steep track to Charang village at 3560 m to sleep out the night.

Day 08: Charang to Lo-Manthang.3840m.

From Charang, we will follow the descending trail to cross the Charang-Chu then we need to climb the rocky hill to Tholung valet. After 3 hours walk on we will see the ancient walls of Lo-Manthang village at 3840m. This is where we crash out for the night in our lodge.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Local lodge)

Day 09: Full day in Lo-Manthang.

Today we do some foraging around the areas. We check into Namgyal Gompa and Tingkhar. Namgyal Gompa, situated on a hilltop serves as an important monastery of the local community and also as a local court. After visiting Namgyal Gompa we continue to explore Tingkhar, the last main village to the northwest of Lo-Manthang, and stroll back to our hotel. Or you may have another option to visit the Tall Champa Lakhang “God house” the red Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa, and the Entrance Hall which are the main attractions of this walled town. Another attraction is the four-story building of the Raja’s palace as well as the surrounding panoramic views of the Himalaya. Day 10: Full day in Lo-Manthng Explore.

Day 11: Lo-Manthang to Dharmakar.

While returning from Lo-Manthang, we head down a dissimilar route than the one we came by. We trek to Drakmar via Gyakar with more than 1200 years old Ghar Gompa with Guru Rinpoche as its central figure. The Gompa is also famous for its rock paintings. According to a mythical legend, anyone who makes one wish at the Ghar Gompa will have their wishes fulfilled. We explore the local area with the likelihood of dusty wind, so it’s suggested we do the hike in the morning. Day 12: Dharmakar to Samar.

After a hearty breakfast, we will trek down to real interesting Samar. This is an opportunity to observe nature all around us. We bunk out in our lodge.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner+Local lodge)

Day 13: Samar To Jomsom.

From Samar onward, it will be one of the most pleasant walks as we will lose altitude day by day. The trek follows an easy descent towards the Kaligandaki River Valley passing through the old village of Jharkot after an hour or more of this good walk. On reaching the river bed at Ekale-Bhatti, we reach a small settlement with about 3-4 teahouses, where we can take a breather for some time. From here onwards, it can get very windy in the afternoon time, as our walk follows a gentle trail for another two hours till the large town of Jomsom is reached for our overnight camp. Jomsom, a large village town is the headquarters of the Mustang region with a small airstrip just above the river Kaligandaki.

Here, we will have sufficient time to celebrate with the local apple products like cider, brandy, and pure apple juice. This area from Kagbeni to Larjung is famous for its delicious apples and its by-products. A few swigs of the apple brandy could set our moods on a high after a wonderful memorable trip we just completed. Day 14: Jomsom to Pokhara by flight.

After morning breakfast we check in the airport to fly back to Pokhara. This dramatic 30-minute flight to Pokhara between the gorge of the two huge mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri is a nervy tingling experience we will enjoy. On arrival at Pokhara airport, our guide will transfer us to the lakeside hotel. We use the rest of our time exploring the lake and then spend our overnight at our hotel down by the lake.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Lunch+flight+Hotel)

 Day 15: Pokhara to Kathmandu.

From Pokhara, a thrilling scenic drive of 6 to 7 hours will be enough to return to Kathmandu. We will relaxingly enjoy the views of the green forest and the roadside houses of rural Nepal while returning to Kathmandu. The evening will be delightful visiting the market area of Kathmandu. We will check into our hotel BB plan and enjoy the comforts of a comfy bed with soft pillows after the trailblazing Mustang trek. We also have the option of a Flight from Pokhara which takes about 35 minutes to Kathmandu.(Guide+Porter+Breakfast+Bus+Hotel)

Day 16: Farewell program.

Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from ‘A One Nepal Trek’ will take you to the airport. Safety – Health- facility:

Our first goal is “first safety” for all of our clients and staff. We have a smartly experienced friendly and knowledgeable workers team. All they are well trained and must of they are license holder Guides. We arrange first aid. Also, the area has a health post every 2 days, and the main hospital is not farther than the maximum of 5 hrs, from any part. We can use a quick drive on the rough road, carried by the people, take a horse ride, and arrange the Helicopter at our needed as per the emergency encase. The physical walk is 6 hours on average per day with a mini bag with your valued things average 2-5 kg. but 2 days is shorter.

Your Personal Travel Insurance:

We highly advised you to make your travel insurance during the Nepal trip from your own country. It is a condition upon joining any of our trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs). we don’t arrange or sell insurance.

Teahouse Local lodge during the Trek:

All accommodations for Upper Mustang Trek are on a twin sharing room at lodge/Home-stay basis included in the trip cost and are chosen based on the standard of hygiene, standard and clean of tourist standard available. There are mostly shame styles of accommodations during our trekking. All the lodging and meal costs have been controlled by the management community in the area.

Meals and Water:

During our Trek, we can enjoy typical Nepali food, different ethnic cuisines, as well as all types of international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian.), which are from the menu as per local supplement. Lodge has a well-trained cook who basically attention to clean, hygienic, fresh, and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates, a variety of bread, a variety of drinks, and snacks. You could have been able to buy Bottled water from every settlement. Even we would like to support you to pay for local purifying water cheaper with that’s help to controlled plastic pollution. Also, boiled water or running fresh water with your peals or filtering is much recommended.

What to bring with you:

Raincoat, bag cover, round sun hat. Half paint for rain, waterproof walking boot, Suntan lotion, sunglass, light waterproof gore tax set, a pair of sleepers, some t-shirt, Down Jacket, If you have your private light sleeping bag/If Not we will provide, walking stick, your regular drug and necessary you things.

Environmental sensitive:

The Annapurna region is stunningly beautiful but equally fragile. Future generations have just as much of a right to appreciate it as we do. Hence, the tourism industry has an obligation to protect and preserve it. We are considering a ‘zero impact’ policy on the natural environment and the traditional communities that live in the traveled places. We enforce a number of dos and don’ts. We also work alongside “KEEP” in order to maintain our environmental concerns.

February to November to the best season.

Permit, Royalty, and Application:

You have to Join with Nepal authorized company for Trekking over the Upper Mustang region. Minimum need to 2 persons of the group to apply for permit cost USD 500 each, for first 10 days, then USD 50 per day extra. Also required ACAP ticket and TIMS card.

Hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara:

We provide 2* / 3* standard hotels as per package. Pls, let us advise as per your choice. 5 stars hotels are in Kathmandu: Hyatt Regency, Yak &Yeti, De’l Annapurna, The Everest Hotel, The Malla hotel, and others 4,3, 2,1 stars hotels: 5 stars hotels in Pokhara: Phulbari resort. And other standard hotels: Fishtail lodge, Meera Hotel.

Booking Policy:

Confirm your trip at least two months before, with 45% of the payment and a copy of your passport. One group leader or agent will be free of service charge above 12 of paying the person in a group. (tax, flight, and monuments fee is not free)
