Along the trail, travelers encounter charming, traditional Sherpa villages. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, a representative from A One Nepal Trek will warmly welcome you. You will be escorted to your hotel, where you can choose to rest or spend the afternoon doing some light sightseeing. In the evening, enjoy a delicious welcome dinner while reviewing your trekking plans with your guide.

Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal and Trek to Chisapani (2,140m)

After a short 1 to 2-hour drive from Kathmandu, we reach Sundarijal, where our trek officially begins. The trail initially follows the pipeline supplying water to Kathmandu and soon enters the lush protected forests of the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. Continuing past Mul Kharka, we ascend to the scenic ridge settlement of Chisapani at an altitude of 2,140m.

Day 03: Chisapani to Gul Bhanjyang 2,500m

Leaving Chisapani, our path leaves the main settlement areas behind as we journey toward Pati Bhanjyang. The trail winds through peaceful forests dotted with traditional chortens before finally arriving at the vibrant village of Gul Bhanjyang for a wonderful overnight stay.

Day 04: Gul Bhanjyang to Tharepati (3,610m)

After a hearty breakfast, we head upward toward Tharepati. The trail climbs steeply through dense rhododendron and oak forests, rewarding our efforts with magnificent mountain vistas. Passing through Magen Goth, where we catch our first breathtaking glimpses of the Langtang region and Gosaikunda, we push through the steep final ridge to reach Tharepati for the night.

Day 05: Tharepati to Melamchi Gaun (2,535m)

Today’s short but stunning trek descends through tranquil fir and rhododendron forests accompanied by the songs of mountain birds and the distant, soothing sound of rushing streams. We soon arrive at the culturally rich and scenic mountain settlement of Melamchi Gaun.

Day 06: Melamchi Gaun to Tarkeghyang (2,560m)

Leaving Melamchi Gaun, we descend steeply toward the river valley, enjoying crystal-clear river views and deep forest landscapes. We then climb across to Tarkeghyang, a wonderful village famous for its traditional Buddhist Gompas and warm local hospitality.

Day 07: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang 2,600m.

We resume our journey in the early morning along a gentle, flat path leading to Sermathang. Tarkeghyang and Sermathang are iconic Sherpa villages whose residents preserve a unique cultural identity distinct from the Khumbu region. On clear days, the local viewpoint offers sweeping, unobstructed views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, the Gosaikunda area, and the Rolwaling mountain range.

Day 08: Sermathang to Talamarang, then Drive to Kathmandu

Our final day of trekking takes us down through beautiful meadows, cultivated farmlands, and historic rural villages toward Melamchi Pul Bazaar. Along the way, we enjoy friendly interactions with locals before taking a comfortable vehicle back to Kathmandu for a relaxing evening.

Day 09: Final Departure

After a restful night in Kathmandu, the team at A One Nepal Trek will host a brief farewell program. We will assist you with your departure and transfer you to the airport ahead of your flight, wishing you a safe journey home and hoping to see you again!

Airport Transfers: All airport pick-up and drop-off services.
Hotel Accommodation: 2 nights in a standard 2-star hotel in Kathmandu.
Trekking Accommodation: 07 days in local teahouses/lodges during the trek on a twin-sharing basis.
Meals: All 3 meals per day during the trek (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) along with a cup of tea with every meal.
Transportation: All ground transport from Kathmandu to the trailhead and return by bus.
Experienced Crew: An experienced English-speaking trekking guide, plus assistant guides for larger groups (maintaining a 2:1 ratio of trekkers to porters). This covers their daily wages, insurance, equipment, food, and lodging.
Complimentary Gear & Equipment: Use of a down jacket, sleeping bag, duffel bag, and a trekking map (down jackets and sleeping bags must be returned after trip completion).
Permits & Paperwork: All necessary official paperwork and permits, including the National Park entry ticket, trekking permit, and TIMS card.

Medical Accessibility: Health posts are available every two days along the route, and the nearest major hospital is no more than 5 hours away from any point on the trek.
Emergency Support: In the case of an emergency, evacuation options include quick drives over rough roads, transport by local porters or horses, or immediate helicopter rescue arrangements as required.
Walking Pace: Expect an average of 6 hours of walking per day, carrying only a small daypack (2–5 kg) with your valuables, with a couple of shorter days included for comfort.

YOUR PERSONAL TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Mandatory Insurance: All clients must obtain comprehensive personal travel insurance from their home country prior to arrival.
Coverage Requirements: Policies must cover medical expenses, accidents, emergency medical evacuation, air ambulance, and treatment costs. Please note that A One Nepal Trek does not arrange or sell insurance policies.

TEAHOUSE & LOCAL LODGE ACCOMMODATION:

Comfortable Lodging: Accommodations for the Helambu Circuit Trek are provided on a twin-sharing basis in clean, tourist-standard teahouses selected for hygiene and comfort.
Community Regulated: Lodges generally feature consistent standard styles. All lodging and meal rates are managed and regulated by the local community management committee.

MEALS AND WATER:

Diverse Menus: Enjoy traditional Nepali food, different ethnic cuisines, and all types of international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian) ordered from local menus.
Hygiene & Treats: Lodges feature well-trained cooks dedicated to clean, hygienic, fresh, and tasty food. Hot chocolates, various breads, drinks, and snacks are readily available.
Eco-Friendly Hydration: Bottled water can be purchased at every settlement. To help control plastic pollution, we encourage purchasing locally purified water, using water-purifying tablets, or drinking boiled/filtered running fresh water.
