Panch Pokhari is one of the best alternative trek detonations in Nepal. Panch Pokhari is situated in the Sindhupalchok district and one of the holiest pilgrimage sites of Hindu people where on August full moon day Hindu people around the country gather to take holy bath in sacred ponds. Panch Pokhari is surrounded by the beautiful mountains so it offer eye pleasing and heart stopping dramatic views of beautiful mountains such as Jugal, Lenpo Gang, Dorje Lakpa, Madiya, Phurbi Chhyachu and Gangchenpo.

The roué of the Panch Pokhari go through the villages of diverse ethnic people such as Tamang, Chhetri and Sherpa, beautiful green hills, dense forests and beautiful landscapes. During this trek in the villages of different ethnic people trekkers get the opportunity to know the diverse culture and way of life of different ethnic people. This trek starts from Chautara after 3/ 4 hrs bus drive from Kathmandu. From Chautara trek reach to Panch Pokhari after the romantic journey of naturally beautiful and culturally important places such as Chauta, Sano Okhari, Kami Kharka, Pauwa Bas, Hile Bhanjyang and Narsim Pati. After collecting the exciting natural and important cultural experiences in Panch Pokhari trek return to Melamchi via Tupi Danda and Dhap. As great Hindu festival held in Panch Pokhari in every year on August full moon day if the trekkers manage trek during that time they can see and learn about the august full moon day festival of Hindu people.

Panch Pokhari trek is also popular for different species of birds. On the way to Panch Pokhari and in and around the Panch Pokhari there are beautiful forests of bamboo, pine and other ever green plants where different species of birds such as Pigeons and Doves, Parrot, Macaws and allies, Cuckoos and Anis, Barn owls, Typical owls, Nightjars, Tree swifts, Trogons and Quetzals, Kingfishers, Bee-eaters, Typical Rollers, Hoopoes, Barbets Honey guides, Woodpeckers and Allie can be seen.

Details Intinerary

Day 01: Arrival to Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu at TIA, a representative of A One Nepal Trek will warmly welcome you to Nepal. She/he will guide you towards the hotel room of Nepal. The day can be either rest day or some sightseeing day of Kathmandu. The night will be at the hotel by discussing about the tour and enjoying the delicious dinner.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Chautara

From Kathmandu, we will take drive towards Chautara, headquarter of Sindhupalchok District.  The journey goes for about 5 hours long at the Bus. From our camp, we can view the glittering view of mountains along with the green forest at its waist. The night will be fascinating at Chautara.

Day 03: Chautara to Phurse

From Chautara, we will trek for about 5 to 6 hours. The trail will follow many small villages of the region along with the glittering view of terraced farm lands and mountains. We will trek further towards the Phurse.  In Phurse, there is a pastureland of the surrounding where people used to graze their cattle. It is a small traditional Tamang village.

Day 04: Phurse to Kami Kharka

From Phurse, we will trek towards the beautiful region following the trail to Kami Kharka. The journey goes for 6 to 7 hours. The trail goes through the forest of Rhododendron, oak, pine and other vegetation. We will get the pleasuring view of Gaurishankar, Jugal and Dorje Lakpa Himal. The night will be at the tented camp at Kami Kharka.

Day 05: Kami Kharka to Pauwa bas

From Kami Kharka, we walk to the ascending pass to Pauwa Bas for about 6 hours. The trail goes through the forest of rhododendron and pine to Pauwa bas at the altitude of 3000m. The night will be at Pauwa bas at the tented camp.

Day 06: Pauwa Bas to Hille Bhanjyang

The trail from Pauwa bas goes towards the steep way for about 3 hours. The trekking goes mostly to the forested area of the region which is covered by the trees of rhododendron, oak, pine, bamboo and many more. From Hille Bhanjyang, we can see the beautiful view of waterfalls, river and the villages. The night will be at Hille Bhanjyang.

Day 07: Hille Bhanjyang to Nasim Pati

From Hille, we need to walk for about 4 hours to reach at Nasim Pati. If the weather is clear, then the view of the surrounding will be mesmerizing. The marvelous view of Gaurishankar and Jugal Himal will welcome us. After passing the trail for several hours, we will reach at the stone house of Nasim Pati at the altitude of 3800m above sea level. The night will be at Nasim Pati.

Day 08: Nasim Pati to Panch Pokhari

From Nasim Pati, we will have a 4to 5 hour climb to the Panch Pokhari. The route will guide towards the beautiful land of Lauri Binayak pass to Panch Pokhari. The alpine vegetation along with the rocky mountain will be there to welcome us. Panch Pokhari has its own importance among the Hindus. During the time of Janaipurnima, many people used to go there to have the holy bath. The night will be at Panch Pokhari.

Day 09: Panch Pokhari to Nasim Pati

After completing our objectives, we will trek back to the Nasim Pati following the same trail. During the return journey, we will pass through the Lauri Binayak pass viewing the best scene of the region. The route will continue to decline from the alpine forest. The night will be at the tented camp at Nasim Pati.

Day 10: Nasim Pati to Dukhang

From Nasim, we will trek through the forest of Rhododendron, Pine, Bamboo, Juniper, Oak and other different types of vegetation. We will walk continuously until we reach at the Dukhang at the altitude of 2100m above sea level. There are beautiful monasteries at Dukhang. The night will be at Dukhang.

Day 11: Dukhang to Dhap

From Dukhang, the descending trail for about 6 to 7 hours will be enough for us to reach to Dhap. While descending, we can view the best scene of the surrounding along with the beautiful river of Indrawati, farming terraces, Human settlements and Green forest. We will reach at Dhap after the long walk. Dhap is a Tamang village. The night will be with Tamang families.

Day 12: Dhap to Melamchi Pul Bazaar

From the Dhap, we will trek towards the Melamchi Pul Bazaar. The trail passes through the beautiful villages of the surrounding. The trekking will be enjoyable at the bank of river namely Melamchi. The night will be at Melamchi Pul bazaar at the altitude of 800m.

Day 13: Melamchi to Kathmandu

From Melamchi, we will catch the bus back to Kathmandu. The drive goes for about 3 to 4 hours from Melamchi to Kathmandu. The road will offer us many panoramic views throughout the way. The night will be at Kathmandu enjoying with friends and members of A One Nepal Trek.

Day 14: Farewell

After having a relaxing night at Kathmandu, finally, the day of returning back to our home country and busy schedule has come with the ending of our glittering tour over to the highlands of Nepal. A One Nepal Trek will organize a small farewell program at the airport and will help for any inconvenience that may arise during the departure.  We wish for your better journey ahead.

Safety – Health- facility:

Our first goal is “first safety” for all of our clients and staff. We have smartly experienced friendly and knowledge able workers team. All they are well trained and must of they are license holder Guides. We arrange first aid. Also the area has heath post on every 2 days, and main hospital is not farther than maximum 5 hrs, from any part. We can use a quick drive on ruff road, carry by the people, take a horse ride, and arrange the Helicopter at our needed as per the emergency encase. The physical walk is 6 hours average per day with mini bag with your valued things average 2-5 kg. but 2 days is shorter.

Your Personal Travel Insurance:

We highly advised you to make your travel insurance during Nepal trip from your own country. It is a condition upon joining any of our trips that all clients be insured for comprehensive expenses that might incur due to medical issues or accidents (this includes air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and treatment costs).we don’t arrange or sell insurance.

Tea house Local lodge during the Trek:

All accommodations for Ghorepani-Poon hill Trek are on twin sharing basis included in the trip cost and are chosen based on standard of hygiene, standard and clean of tourist standard available. There are mostly shame styles of accommodations during our trekking. And very some of place has limits of Attach bath room as your own payment. All the lodging and meal cost has controlled by management community at in area.

Meals and Water:

During our Trek, we can enjoy typical Nepali food, different ethnic cuisines as well as all types of international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Italian, and Indian.) are from the menu as per local supplement. Lodge has well trained cook basically attention for clean, hygienic, fresh and nice testy foods. We can even enjoy hot chocolates, variety of breads, variety of drinks, and snacks. You could have able to buy Bottled water from every settlement. Even we would like to support you to pay for local purifying water cheaper with that’s help to controlled plastic pollution. Also the boiled water, or running fresh water with your peals or filtering is much recommended.

What to bring with you:

Raincoat, bag cover, round sun hat. Half paint for rain, waterproof waking boot, Suntan lotion, sunglass, light waterproof gore tax set, a pair of sleepers, some t-shirt, If you have your private light sleeping bag/If Not we will provide, walking stick, your regular drug and necessary you things.

The Annapurna region is stunningly beautiful, but equally fragile. Future generations have just as much of a right to appreciate it as we do. We are consideration a ‘zero impact’ policy on the natural environment and the traditional communities that live at the traveled places. We enforce a number of do’s and don’ts. Best Season: We are Sure Ghorepani-Poon hill trek for all Season. Even Sep to Dec and Feb to Apr is best.
