TRP OVERVIEW
Journey to the Sanctuary of Abundance
Named after the Hindu Goddess of Food and Nourishment, the Annapurna massif stands as a symbol of pure abundance in Nepal. Its massive, snow-capped peaks continuously feed the glacial rivers that irrigate the lush, fertile valleys stretching far below. Among Nepal’s iconic trails, the legendary Annapurna Base Camp Trek remains one of the most popular and breathtaking adventures on earth. Consequently, it welcomes thousands of passionate trekkers from around the globe every single month.
While the Annapurna region can technically be explored year-round, the optimal trekking seasons are indisputably autumn (October to December) and spring (February to May). Indeed, during these peak months, the weather remains remarkably clear, temperatures are pleasantly mild, and trail conditions are ideal for high-altitude alpine hiking. Furthermore, spring brings the added marvel of watching entire hillsides burst into color as wild rhododendrons bloom across the ridges.
On the other hand, winter and monsoon seasons present unique challenges like heavy snowfall or slippery trails. Nevertheless, no matter when you decide to embark on this life-changing journey, A One Nepal Trek organizes flawless year-round expeditions. Our trips are fully supported by highly experienced, licensed local guides who know every safety detail of the shifting mountain terrain.
Â
The Trail Ahead: From Pokhara into the Sanctuary
Your adventure begins with a scenic overland drive or a swift 30-minute domestic flight from Kathmandu to the lakeside paradise of Pokhara. In fact, travelers often describe this initial transit as a lovely cruise past winding river valleys, cascading waterfalls, and manicured terrace farms. Shortly after enjoying the serene lakeside views, your route continues by road toward Shyauli Bazaar and the heritage village of Ghandruk, where your footsteps officially meet the classic Annapurna trail.
As soon as you step onto the path, you will follow the roaring, snow-melted waters of the Modi Khola River as it carves its way through deep stone gorges. Gradually, the trail climbs higher into dense rhododendron and bamboo forests that echo with local birdlife. In addition to the natural scenery, the lower section of the trail offers a deeply immersive cultural experience. For instance, passing through historic Gurung and Magar villages like Chhomrong opens up astounding vistas of Hiunchuli and the sacred, unclimbed peak of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993m), famously known as the Fishtail mountain.
Â
Entering the Ring of Giants
As you move higher up, the dense forest canopy suddenly gives way to raw, open alpine terrain. Eventually, you will pass through the historic rocky gateway between Machhapuchhre Base Camp and your final destination. At this point, you officially enter the colossal, 360-degree mountain amphitheater known as the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Standing face-to-face with the towering, vertical 8,091-meter South Face of Annapurna I is an emotional experience that words can barely describe. In order to maximize your enjoyment of this pristine sanctuary, our itineraries include dedicated acclimatization steps. Ultimately, this careful pacing ensures that you can stand at 4,130 meters feeling strong, healthy, and completely captivated by the roof of the world.

Would very much like to sincerely recommend A Nepal trek company and a best manager named Mr. Y.B. Pant /Rajendra. This is my third trip to Nepal and took a service with well known guide Mr. Rajendra. We were very proud because he has been starting his a nice operation company with almost nearly 20 years experience of his guiding with some thousands of tourists from world. He provides us a good guide and a porter. Guide[Surya] was a real discovery! we took 17 days trek to “Throng-la pass 5416m” or known as “Annapurna circuit”. Estimado y querido Rajendra,
