Festival Goshain Kunda Lake Trek

We celebrate many festivals. Nepal is very popular for its unique culture & tradition with religious festivals. Every year Nepali people celebrate more than 50 festivals. Religious festivals are set following the lunar calendar by astrologers and national festival are fixed by dates. Among them Janaipurnima is one of them as Hindus are famous rich in festivals & rituals. It is held on gull moon in August. There will be big fair on Lake Gosaikunda on this day. There is a saying that, if we bath on Lake Gosaikunda then our sin will be decreased. Maximum number of people goes on this lake to bath. Besides this, another attraction of this trekking is the beauty of nature and the view of eye catching mountain surrounding the area of Lake.

On Gosaikunda Janaipurnima Festival Trek all people wear Janai (special thread given by priest) on their hand. Early morning people go to temple to worship god. Many people go religious places of pilgrimage in Gosainkunda Lake, to remove their sin. Hindu people are mostly involved in this activity. Although Gosainkunda is known as Hindu pilgrimage, Buddhists community people also take part equally as important for their own values & tradition of acquiring strength for meditation, cosmopolitan feelings & enlightenment. Mane, Syabru, and shamanism of typical Tamang (Buddhist) culture etc are the local dance performed on this occasion would enhance the fair robustly. Over here majority people are of Tamang community (original and typical 70 ethnic communities of Nepal) who follow the rule.

All this festivals attract many tourists. Due to which flights & hotels are sold out before a month ago. In this way local people celebrated Tenji festival in Upper Mustang. Having live performance of celebrating with local people will be the most interesting than in just reading in book. So if you are interested to have live performance you can kindly contact to A One Nepal Trek.
